Game Studios are Reshaping with the Play to Earn Model!

The GameFi industry has gradually moved from a “play-to-earn” model to one where tokenomics is secondary to gaming, which some call “play-to-earn”.

Now the developers of “Angel,” the upcoming Web3 title from Metaverse Game Studios, hope to pioneer a new GameFi game called “cooperate to win.”

Metaverse spokesman Chris Wikel called this model an example that gives gamers “a say in the governance of the games you love.”

“Now you can immerse yourself in your favorite universe, create a character, and share unforgettable experiences with friends based on the world you create and own,” said Wikel.

Examples of cooperation could be forming teams to establish control over a region in a game, or gathering resources and creating weapons. The more resources you have in the game, the more players have a say in developing the Angels environment and helping shape the future of the game.

Axie Infinity, one of the first blockchain-based games, originally planned to use the Axie Infinity Shard (AXS) token for similar purposes. However, player exodus over the past year – which includes high-profile hacking – has negatively affected the game’s economy.

“It’s just a beautiful crypto word,” said Omar Ghanem, Chief Game Officer at Polkastarter Gaming, who recently hosted the 2022 Gam3 Awards that recognized some of the best Web3 games and talent. “There is no Blockchain technology to be supported, to solve some problems in the gaming industry, it never meant to be centralized,”

Ghanem told Blockworks.

“First, it’s for good games, then blockchain-enabled features like player assets, progress, and instant payments for esports tournaments can come in,” he added. Another NFT game that seeks a “relationship” strategy similar to Angelic’s mission is Sunflower Land – an open-source farming platform built on the Polygon proof-of-stake (PoS) chain. In it, the community determines the progress of what is happening in the game and what will be done in the future, Ghanem said. Partnership with ImmutableX
Angelic, which Metaverse and play to earn describes as a dark sci-fi themed story-based strategy game and turn-based combat, is being developed by a team from projects including Far Cry, League of Legends and Diablo Immortal.

Metaverse Game Studio closed a $10 million seed round led by Animoca Brands, Pantera Capital and Everyrealm earlier this year. On Tuesday, the gaming company announced its partnership with the Ethereum Layer-2 gaming platform ImmutableX, which offers a hot solution for NFT, based on Validium, a zero proof (ZK) model.

Protecting and enforcing the sovereignty of the creators is the main concern for the Angel, he said in a statement, to ensure that everyone in the community “is rewarded for their contribution to the world. Sports”.

ImmutableX recently doubled down on its efforts to enforce royalty payments among NFT stocks that have changed their payment methods or are royalty-optional. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and development will begin again in 2020. It is expected that its alpha test will be released for community members and partners at the end of January 2023, with the public launch expected to follow. February, according to the company.
